Gone Fishkeepin’ is an app prototype I developed with the modern fishkeeper in mind.

When I embarked on my aquarium journey in September of 2024, I was instantly overwhelmed at the slew of information thrown at me.

I went from not knowing what the nitrogen cycle was to thinking constantly about different aspects of fishkeeping. Had my ammonia spiked? Were the rocks in my tank affecting the pH? Why were my nitrites so high? Why was nothing going right?

I chalk a big part of my struggles with establishing my tank to information overload and a lack of proper tracking. All the preexisting apps in the aquarium hobby are bogged down by dated and uninspired graphics or locked behind a paywall.

I liked the idea of creating an app with fun and playful graphics to invite even the most casual hobbyist into the exciting world of fishkeeping. Have I sold you on it yet?
